“Joining the 30-Day Free Alcohol Challenge has been such a transformative experience for me, and I can’t recommend it enough! What I’ve learned during this month has opened my eyes to how much alcohol was impacting my life. I discovered that I wasn’t alone—many others, like me, had been drinking out of boredom, loneliness, stress, and habit. It felt so comforting to know my story was not unique.
The course taught me the toll alcohol takes on the body, particularly as a woman going through perimenopause. The podcasts, resources, and interviews provided throughout the course were so valuable. Knowledge truly is power, and understanding the effects of alcohol helped me make an informed decision about what I wanted to put in my body. I learned that alcohol was no longer serving me, and with the tools and strategies provided in the challenge, I discovered I can live without it.
Since stopping, I’ve lost weight, I feel better, and my energy is improving. My sleep has gotten better, and the brain fog that came with drinking is much less (still in perimenopause, so still have brain fog 😊). I no longer wake up with a heavy head, which is a huge win! I feel healthier, more vibrant, and in control of my choices.
Thank you, Sarah and the team, for providing this incredible challenge. It has truly been life-changing! “
- Nicole, Australia, Challenge Participant
“Do not hesitate! This challenge was life changing for me. It was the push I needed to get sober. The support from Sarah is loving, non-judgemental, and real.”
- Robin, United States, Challenge Participant
“The challenge was the best thing I ever did for myself; it gave me the ability to fully commit to a month off booze in a secure private group full of honest conversations and heartfelt support. I learned so much from Sarah, from guest speakers, and from myself. I loved having no hangovers or crap in my head and gained better sleep, clarity, focus, new energy, and happiness. Do the course, invest in yourself, and find a new you away from booze. Xx “
- Janeen, Australia, Challenge Participant
“This challenge was more than just a challenge. It was educational, empowering, and emotional. I am looking forward to doing the next one. The guest speakers are amazing, and the support network is the cherry on top. Highly recommended!”
- Katie, Australia, Challenge Participant
“This challenge was a total game changer for me — all of the education and tools provided over the 30 days were enough for me to go from drinking a bottle of wine a night to being able to do 30 days alcohol-free and now beyond that. The support of the group was a huge motivator — so many women in exactly the same position as me. Sarah is so passionate and dedicated to helping women change their relationship with alcohol for good. She does it in a really non patronising way and her energy and enthusiasm is contagious! I would highly recommend this challenge to anyone questioning their drinking habits. “

Why Join The AF Challenge?
“I am still AF after 40 days, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t have been successful if it wasn’t for the support of the group and Sarah and her team. Also, the knowledge I gained from the interviews and podcasts was second to none; I learnt so much about alcohol, it actually has made me join the quest to be alcohol free forever, and to really dig deep into my soul and discover who I really am without alcohol and what lies ahead for me in a life without alcohol. Thanks again Sarah, I’m forever grateful!”
- Sandy, Australia, Challenge Participant
This is literally changing my life… I’m 54 and have used alcohol for nearly 40 years, having little to no self worth. I stumbled across this group (whilst drunk) and will not go back!! My life is moving forward with Sarah’s guidance. She gives us information that is easy to digest. I trust her implicitly!! I feel that I have found my people… beautiful women who have been on the same journey as me.
- Jo, Australia, Challenge Participant
“I came into this challenge just to take a break; however, during the 30 days, my thinking completely changed. I’ve learnt so much about what alcohol was really doing to my body and mental health. I have new tools, strategies and support structures. My life, health and relationships are transforming. I have hope for the future. I’m so grateful.“
- Katische, Australia, Challenge Participant
“From a daily drinker, I’ve done 6 weeks alcohol free and allowed myself a slow journey of healing and changing habits while educating myself on why I want and need to stop putting alcohol in my body! The daily check-in by Sarah really was such a good start to my day, and there was so much information that I listened to every moment I could and still do. I’m so grateful to Sarah and her team. Thank you 🙏. ”

This Challenge is for you if…
✔️ You're sick and tired of feeling sick and tired and would like to give yourself a break from alcohol.
✔️ You want to change your MINDSET and HABITS around alcohol so you aren't relying on it as such a crutch in your everyday life.
✔️ You're concerned that your drinking habits have been creeping up. While you don't consider yourself an 'alcoholic' you do feel uncomfortable about the role alcohol plays in your life.
✔️ Previous attempts to take a break from alcohol have been hard due to peer pressure, not having the accountability or not having the connection with others on the same path (because I know how lonely it is when it feels like everyone around you is still drinking).
✔️ You want support to help build a toolkit of some other coping mechanisms (outside of the nightly wine) to help when you feel stressed, tired or need to just 'take the edge off'.
✔️ You've tried to take a break in the past but all good intentions slip aside when 5pm hits and the wine witch comes calling. Or you successfully take a month off but then head straight back into the same drinking patterns as if it never happened.
If you answer yes to any of these questions, this 30-day challenge is perfect for you!
Whether you plan to take a month off (or longer), doing it with the help and support of a trained and Accredited Grey Area Drinking Coach will provide you with all the resources, support and connection you need for success.
And the best part? You do it all in the company of an intimate and supportive group of women on the same path.

Guest Expert Interviews
Faye Lawrence
Faye works with people who know that drinking is no longer serving them, who want to make change and want to unlock their freedom, personal power and potential.
Faye has been there and worn the t-shirt. She was a high functioning heavy drinker for decades before finally getting sober in 2017.
Faye holds a degree in psychology, is a certified Grey Area Drinker coach, and is well versed in all things trauma (both academically and having lived it.
Faye founded Untoxicated, Australia’s largest alcohol-free social and peer support community. She has helped hundreds of Australians change their relationship with alcohol. During her talk, Faye will share her journey to sobriety and discuss how it has influenced her own ADHD diagnosis and symptoms.
Gilly Baker
I’m a wife and mum of two from Bathgate in Scotland.
My job used to define me. And I prided myself on my hard work and perfectionism, often clocking over 50 to 60 hours per week. I wore my dedication as a badge of honour and I loved it—until I didn’t.
As I climbed the corporate ladder, stress took its toll and I neglected my health and wellbeing. I was drinking too much, too quickly and too often. And I felt burnt out, overwhelmed and unfulfilled. The breaking point came when I was signed off work due to stress.
With Sarah’s help, I worked to rediscover who I was and what I wanted. And I reclaimed my life. I’ve transformed my relationship with alcohol and unlocked elite performance. I now live a life that I love waking up to.
I’ve recently launched a new business as a Life and Transformation coach because I want to help women, women like me, break free from stress and overwhelm. I’ve got a Diploma in Coaching and Positive Psychology from the Andy Ramage Training Academy. I’m also a certified Alcohol-Free Performance Coach.
Faye Louise
Faye Louise experienced a GLOW UP in every area of her life after removing alcohol. For years, binge drinking, blackouts, and self-sabotage were her norm, trapping her in a cycle of regret and low self-worth.
On 14th February 2023, she decided to take a six-month break from alcohol—though it wasn’t until weeks later that she realised she had unknowingly given herself the biggest act of self-love by removing alcohol on Valentine’s Day. What she did know in that moment was that her self-love was at an all-time low, so she went all in—combining sobriety with self-love—and soon discovered:
SOBRIETY + SELF-LOVE = SOBER GLOW UP.
“Sobriety isn’t about missing out—it’s about finally showing up for yourself and creating a fun, fulfilling, and wholesome life.”
Gillian Tietz
Gillian Tietz, MS, CAMS-I is the host of the Sober Powered Podcast and a sobriety and anger management coach.
Getting sober in 2019 inspired her to start her podcast where she utilizes her biochemistry background to teach others how alcohol affects the brain and why it’s so hard to stop drinking.
Angela Foster
Angela Foster is an award winning Nutritionist, Health & Performance Coach, Keynote Speaker and Host of The High Performance Health Podcast.
A former corporate lawyer turned industry leader in biohacking and health optimisation for women, Angela regularly gives keynotes to large fitness, health and wellness events including the Health Optimisation summit, The Biohacker summit, Dragonfly live, Elevate Fitness conference and Gaia TV. She also delivers Health Optimisation and Performance Workshops to large multinational corporations and senior leaders with a strong focus on women’s health and burnout prevention.
Shanna Whan
Shanna is the rural woman, founder, CEO, and face behind Sober in the Country. She's an Australian of the Year recipient who decided to “do what she could to be part of the change” after almost losing her own life to alcohol addiction in 2015.
Today, through her tireless advocacy, Sober in the Country has grown from an online blog into a nationally respected charity, shifting the entire conversation around booze in the bush and saving and changing lives. She lives in rural northwest New South Wales with her husband, 'Timbo' and her beloved dogs.
William Porter
William is the best selling author of Alcohol Explained and Alcohol Explained 2. William quit drinking in Feb 2014 and as well as working as a Lawyer is also a passionate advocate and speaker in the alcohol free movement and his books have helped thousands.
Dave Wilson (aka Sober Dave)
David is a grey area drinking and mindset coach, author of the best selling book ‘One for theRoad’, podcast host and ambassador for alcohol change UK.
In December 2018, David was in a very different place. His marriage was in a really bad way, his weight had spiralled out of control and his blood pressure was dangerously high. He knew he had to do something and tried moderating but lasted two days. He knew he was better than this, yet alcohol took over his thoughts on a daily basis.
After being challenged by a friend to give up alcohol for 3 months, he gave it up and hasn’t looked back since! David trained to become a grey area drinking coach and now helps others to give up alcohol by speaking about his journey at various events and through his podcast ‘one for the road’.

“My family and friends have been concerned for my health and well being with how alcohol gripped my life and stole ME, the true essence of who I am. 30 days later I am genuinely happy! More relaxed and can negotiate the highs and lows from a centered sense of rationality. I love not panicking about running out of wine, how I'm going to get home from a night out, and waking up minus all the anxiety, guilt, shame, and physical effects of booze. Thank you Sarah for holding this safe space to learn, heal and grow. I'm looking forward to starting Rediscovering Me.”
- Simone, Australia, Challenge Participant
“When I signed up for this challenge, I wanted to take a 30-day break from alcohol, possibly more. What I got, though, was a complete mindset change when it came to the role that alcohol plays in our lives. The group was so supportive. Sarah provides motivation with Facebook live chats, guest speakers, and a lot of resources, all of which aim to help us get out of the hold that alcohol has on our lives.
For me personally, the biggest change was in my mental wellbeing. I feel so much less anxious, less overwhelmed by life in general, sleep better, and I feel like I'm a nicer person to be around. “
- Angela, New Zealand, Challenge Participant

“If you’re beginning to think about your drinking habits being problematic - even in the slightest, you NEED to do this challenge.
If you’re beginning to think that the drink/moderate/not drinking/drinking again/trying to moderate cycle is absolutely not serving you, you NEED to do this challenge.
If those wine bottles seem to add up rather quickly as you pop your bins out to be collected each week, you NEED to do this challenge.
If you seem to make ‘reasons’ or ‘excuses’ as to why you’re at the pub again, ordering your 4th glass of wine without realising, you NEED to do this challenge.
If you’re like me - a high functioning, career-driven, family orientated mum who needs to create a whole lot more clarity in their lives, you NEED to do this challenge.
I’m absolutely the best evidence of someone who came across Sarah’s website without even looking - and as fate would have it, it’s exactly what I needed to do.
I didn’t think that my drinking was what it had become - I was stressed, feeling defeated and knew there was a much better life out there for me.
Sarah is without doubt, the best person who offers this form of coaching. I have woken up each day excited about what I was about to learn from her and the guidance she has provided is truly life changing. The podcasts, interviews and live chats are so well presented and I can guarantee that they will connect with everyone’s story and life contexts - no matter your situation.
If you have just the slightest ‘inkling’ that your beliefs and behaviours around alcohol may need some challenging, and possibly changing, the AF challenge is what you need.
Thank you SO much Sarah. I’m definitely joining up again for the next AF challenge. I can’t wait!”

Sarah’s Recent Awards
“One of the best challenges I have taken part in. So much knowledge that I am still working my way through after the 30 days has ended. The group support is invaluable as are the daily checkins. Loved all of Sarah’s lives and daily videos. They definitely kept me going. I would recommend this challenge to anybody struggling with alcohol as my habits have changed in such a short space of time.”
- Clare, United Kingdom, Challenge Participant
“This is the fourth challenge I have done and I feel that I finally truly get it. I always felt a bit irritated by women writing “if I can do it anyone can”, but actually- that’s true! Sarah’s compassion and intelligence, as well as her energy and fun, shines through. Although one is part of a large group, she always manages to make one feel she is personally interested in each and every person. The educative approach is so so valuable, and underpinned by consistency and empathy. I’m 61 years old but I feel that Sarah is very supportive of older women as well and I love her approach that it’s never too late and there is so much life left to live (at whatever age, and God willing) . Thank you Sarah! I hope and plan to see you again in a challenge for reinforcement and encouragement , but hopefully I’m one of those ladies saying “100 days for me” or similar!”
- Fiona, Victoria, Challenge Participant
“Sarah has been instrumental in turning my life around. I didn’t realise how much alcohol was taking from me until I stopped. Over such a short period, I’ve learnt so much and my life has flourished. Not only am I becoming the very best version of myself, but I also have a wealth of knowledge and a huge support group behind me. ”
